Terms of Use

Last updated 12 October 2026.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms cover the NovaMind website at novamind.org and the NovaMind app at app.novamind.org. By using the website, or by tapping Get Started in the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use NovaMind.

We may update these terms from time to time; see "Changes to These Terms" below.

2. About NovaMind

NovaMind provides career advice, resources, and community content for professionals, built around Hala Kershah's experience in healthcare leadership.

The website lets you join our waitlist, browse and request free and paid career resources, follow and reserve our events, and get in touch with our team.

The app gives you Nova, an AI career mentor that remembers your story between conversations, along with a CV builder, voice notes, and paid one-to-one sessions with Hala.

3. Eligibility

NovaMind is intended for working professionals and job seekers aged 18 and over. By using it, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old and able to enter into these terms. One account per person.

4. Your Account

You sign in to the app with your Google account. Keep that account secure: anyone who can get into it can get into your NovaMind account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone has used it without your permission, email us right away.

5. Nova Is an AI, Not Professional Advice

Nova is an AI and it can be wrong, sometimes confidently. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, particularly anything about a specific employer, a legal right, a salary figure or a visa.

NovaMind's content, including anything from Nova, our resources, Hala and our team, is general career guidance based on experience. It isn't legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice, and it doesn't guarantee any outcome, offer, promotion, or result in your career or job search.

You're responsible for the decisions you make based on our content. When a decision matters, get advice from a qualified professional in that field.

6. How You May Use NovaMind

Don't:

  • Break the law, or use NovaMind to harm, harass, defraud or impersonate anyone
  • Share other people's personal data without a lawful reason
  • Try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or get around usage limits or access controls
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute the service or Nova's answers as your own product
  • Send anything unlawful, abusive or misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

7. Your Content

What you write, record and upload stays yours. You give us the permission we need to run the service: to store your conversations, send them to our AI providers for a reply, and build Nova's memory of you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Nobody at NovaMind browses your conversations. A member of our team can open a conversation only after it has been flagged: for a safety concern, because you asked to talk to Hala, or by our automated quality checks. After that review, Hala may write to you in the app.

You may use Nova's answers freely. Similar questions can produce similar answers, so an answer isn't necessarily unique to you.

8. Plans, Trial and Payment

  • Free trial. A new account gets a 14-day free trial of the full Mentor+ plan, once per account, with no card needed.
  • Prices and currency. Prices are shown before you pay. You're charged in Egyptian pounds if you're in Egypt and in US dollars everywhere else, based on the country we recorded when you first signed in. Payments are processed by our payment provider.
  • Renewal. Plans renew automatically by default. We don't store your card, so before each renewal we email you a reminder with a payment link. If a renewal isn't paid, you have 7 days of grace, with reminders, before the plan ends. You can turn automatic renewal off at any time; your plan then ends at the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Changing plans. An upgrade starts straight away as a new period, with credit for the messages you hadn't used on your current plan. A downgrade starts at the end of your current period, with no refund for the rest of it.
  • Top-ups. Top-ups are one-off purchases that don't renew. They're used after your plan's allowance runs out, last 12 months from purchase, and stay with you even if your plan ends.
  • Fair use. Plans have a daily message limit so that a few very heavy users can't slow the service down for everyone. We'll tell you when you reach it.
  • Single services and sessions with Hala can be bought on their own.

9. Refunds

Subscriptions. Refunds aren't automatic. You can ask for one within 7 days of a charge if you've barely used the plan and you haven't had a refund on your account before; we review each request. We'll refund a charge in full if it was taken after you'd cancelled, or if an outage on our side stopped you using the service.

Sessions with Hala. Cancel more than 48 hours before your session for a full refund; inside 48 hours, the session isn't refunded. You can reschedule a session twice. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the session makes that booking non-refundable. If we cancel a session, we refund it in full.

Paid resources from the website. Some resources are paid. When you request one, we'll email you payment details, and the resource is sent once payment is confirmed. Because these are digital resources delivered on request, we don't offer refunds once a resource has been sent, except where a resource is materially defective or was not delivered.

Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right the law gives you. If something's gone wrong with a payment, contact us and we'll sort it out.

10. Our Content and Your Use of It

Everything on the website and in the app, including text, resources, templates, videos, graphics, the NovaMind name and logo, and the design, belongs to NovaMind or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

When you download a free or paid resource, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own career development. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or claim authorship of our resources or content without our written permission.

11. Your Submissions on the Website

When you send us a message, request a resource, reserve an event, or join the waitlist, you're giving us accurate, current information about yourself. Anything you send us may be used to respond to you and to improve our content and services, as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

NovaMind and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NovaMind is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, the app or their content, including decisions you make based on Nova's answers.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be excluded, such as liability for fraud.

13. Availability and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of NovaMind at any time, and we may restrict or end your access if you violate these terms. We'll try to give notice for significant changes where practical, but we're not obligated to.

You can stop using NovaMind at any time. To close your account, email us.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Since NovaMind operates entirely online, this doesn't restrict where you can use it from.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms as NovaMind changes, and we'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. If we make a material change, the app will ask you to accept the new version before you continue; if you don't accept it, you'll be signed out. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
